Internal factors under consideration include socio-technical challenges related to organizational readiness, such as a lack of skilled talent, challenges with data readiness and quality, organizational culture and resistance to change, high initial costs and uncertain return on investment, and the complexity of integration with existing systems. External factors encompass regulatory frameworks, competitive pressures, market maturity, public perception, and overarching security concerns, all of which are shown to significantly influence AI integration within organizations.
