Interventional Radiology Nurse
- Work alongside Radiologist, IR Technicians, CT Technicians, Ultrasound Technicians, in performing minimally invasive, image guided procedures
- Assisting and sometimes circulate in procedures
- Pre, intra and post procedure assessment, monitoring, and critical nursing care of patients
- Provide effective communication and patient education pre and post procedure
- Administer medications including moderate sedation/analgesia to patient during Interventional procedure

- Part of the stroke team performing diagnostic and interventional procedures for schedule and on call emergent hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke cases, to include but not limited to diagnostic cerebral/carotid angiogram, thrombectomy, embolization, aneurysm coiling, stenting
- Part of the trauma team while at Broward General Hospital, assisting in angiograms and embolization of bleeding vessels from liver, kidney, spleen, due to gunshot/stab wounds, MVA's
- Monitoring patients during leg angiograms, Kyphoplasty, Vertebroplasty, Y-90 mapping and treatment, GI bleeds, coiling of AAA, TIPS, TACE, biopsies, drainages, cryoablation, radio frequency ablation, vein ablation, upper, and lower extremity and pulmonary thrombectomy using ekos system with TPA and the inari system and Penumbra, CVC, PICC, Ports, Tunneled lines, insertion, Gastrostomy, Nephrostomy tubes placement, Lumbar punctures with specimen collection and labelling
- CT scan procedures such as biopsy of mass/lesion of lung, liver kidney, thyroid, abdominal wall, pelvic area
- Drainage of fluid collection, bone marrow biopsy, chest tube insertion for pneumothorax
- Paracentesis, Thoracentesis using ultrasound guided
- Collection, ordering, proper labeling and handling of specimens, and transport to lab.
