Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
At school I have been a part of california scholarship federation, spanish club, cheer, volleyball, gymnastics, science national honor society, animal welfare, choir, ambassadors, and spanish national honor society. I have been involved in school and in different clubs all in which I helped tutor students on campus, during school and after school in case they need a mentor, friend, or helper. The clubs that I am in don't only tutor students, but I help with fundraisers, donating items, and giving the money to organizations or local places in our communities.
At Dream Catcher of La I have helped children who suffer physical and emotional disabilities by receiving therapeutic horseback riding. As the children ride on the horses it helps them overcome fear, gain self-confidence, and attain inspiration for learning new things. At Rabbit Rescue I helped clean and care for neglected rabbits who are left alone in public areas or were abused by their previous owner. The rabbits are brought into the organization to receive special care, attention, and looking for families to take them into a new loving home. At Midnight Mission I cooked and served the homeless a warm meal on holiday and a non- special day. I chopped up some fruits and vegetables, cleaned up the area before they were going to eat, and served them warm meals. I will never forget how grateful they were to receive a cooked meal and how thankful they were for it. I wrote letters to a place called Girls Love Mail and shared words of wisdom to women who are battling against breast cancer. I wanted to write them letters because I wanted to share my positivity, support, and guidance. Volunteering at these organizations has motivated me each day to continue looking for more that I could do for my school or community. One thing that has always stuck with me is that a person once told me, don’t settle on volunteering as a requirement, but doing it out of the kindness of your heart because I will never know if one day I need a random act of kindness. I looked forward to my next 4 years being a part of clubs that involve assisting and guiding others in the school or community in many different ways.
