• Administered therapies in all areas of respiratory care including, but not limited to, aerosolized medications, oxygen delivery, secretion clearance and invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
• Performed diagnostic testing on inpatient and outpatients including ekgs, pulmonary function testing (bedside and body box) and arterial blood gas sampling.
• Worked closely with physicians during bedside procedures like bronchoscopies, cardiac arrests and intubations.
• Managed the night shift working as the charge therapist.
• Participated in the annual skills fair teaching and implementing quality improvement tools in arterial blood gas analysis, sampling and reporting while also maintaining and managing all blood gas competencies.
• Managed 12 ABL90 Blood Gas Analyzers at seven different locations as the only Cardiopulmonary Point of Care. Monitored daily usage and auditing, conducted troubleshooting, ordered supplies, and maintained all forms of testing and reporting to ensure Joint Commission Compliance. These reports included the following; Monthly Quality Control and Biannual Reports on Linearity and Correlation Testing. Also worked with staff maintaining Proficiency with API and CAP Testing.
• Performed administrative billing, ensuring patients' charges were correct.
• Often covered for our department secretary while also juggling current duties as a full time Point of Care/Respiratory Therapist.

Provided respiratory care care for patients in the Emergency Room, General Floor and Critical Care.
