Independently accountable for the effective management and coordination of care of patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED), pacemakers, ICD, and Implantable Loop Recorders.

• * Partner with the Electrophysiology (EP) team, Interventional Cardiologists, heart failure team, cardiothoracic surgical team, and other clinical staff to coordinate the care of cardiovascular patients with CIEDs.
• * Knowledge of pacing modes, ICD arrhythmia detection parameters and therapy options
• * Cardiac arrhythmias–evaluate and appropriately classify, assess effectiveness of prescribed therapy. Address inappropriate detection, therapy or therapy failure with EP physician in timely fashion.
• * Wound checks—ability to recognize wound complications and develop plan of care with MD.

• Assessed complex medical cases to deliver high-quality patient care in high-traffic critical care settings.
• Provided high-quality care for critically ill patients with various conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to any unit with varying patient acuities, protocols and ratios. Areas include CVICU, MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and PCU

• Assess, analyze and treat complex patient conditions
• Respond to rapid response and code blue situations
• Ability to remain flexible and float between multiple critical care specialties including Neuro/Trauma, Cardiovascular, Medical and Surgical

• Perform RN duties for critically ill cardiac, trauma and neurological/neurosurgical patients
• Experience in Level II trauma center caring for critically injured trauma patients, including motor vehicle collisions, falls, gunshot wounds, neurosurgical and craniotomy patients, stroke, and angiogram
• Resuscitate and stabilize patients, manage IV drips and titration, EVD, Art Line, CVP, ventilators, wound care, medications and other appropriate nursing services
• Regularly float to Medical ICU and COVID ICU, caring for various patients including respiratory failure, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, COVID, renal failure/CRRT, among others

• Evaluate instructor performance and effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement
• Assist in antiterrorism and military operations

• Responsible for continuous monitoring and assessment of assigned patients
• Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient health care plans in a dynamic critical care environment
