Radiologic technologist in spine surgeries, primary responsibility is to operate imaging equipment to produce high quality images of the spine during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include:
• Operating C-arms, fluoroscopes and other imaging equipment.
• Maintained patient safety and followed radiation protection protocols

• Ensured image quality and made adjustments as needed.

• Processed digital images using PACS system for storage, retrieval and transmission purposes.

• Adjust imaging equipment (exposure) based on the patient size and disease. Operate equipment to the best of my knowledge using the least amount of radiation to myself and the patient.
• Interacted with many group of ages from Newborns to Geriatric patients; as well as many patients conditions such as Trauma, out-patients, in-patients and carried out the examination as planned
• Positioned patients, as needed to carry out the procedure as well as using critical thinking skills to solve problems where patients unable to do so as planned
• Participated in all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology including routine and Portable Radiology, Fluoroscopy and involvement in Emergency, Trauma and Surgical Procedures.
• Correctly identify images with correct lead markers and assure patient identification.

• Performing quality imaging studies through verification of patient identification and physician order, with technical accuracy and completeness of examination.
• Reduced patients' anxiety and enhanced cooperation by educating on procedure details, instructions and expectations.
• Positioned patients and x-ray implemented beam-restrictive devices and shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
• Selected proper technique for ordered exam to prevent patient from receiving high levels of absorbed radiation.

Physician Health Center treats people who have been injured at work, helping them to get healthy and back-to-work as safely and efficiently as we can.

• Duties include performing initial clinical evaluations as well as directed procedures for urgent care, occupational health and worker’s compensation procedures, and a brief history, establishing vital signs, recording appropriate documentation.
• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
• Administer any medication as ordered by provider and within your licensure/certification; Laboratory duties- Perform CLIA-waived lab test, draw blood and collect and label specimens for any send out labs; Perform DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens and Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT)

• Triages and greets patients in a polite, friendly, prompt and helpful manner. Obtains vital sings, accurate patient medical information and precisely enters it into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Performs basic laboratory test and sample analysis, including but not limited to; venipuncture, starting Intravenous access, Urinalysis, pregnancy tests, drug screens, hair collections, Mono test, Influenza rapid test , Strep, Blood glucose, and office cholesterol test.
• Operates and/or assist with EKG`s, Audiometer, Titmus, Oxygen Administration, AED, Spirometry and any other medical equipment used to administer routine diagnostic tests.
• Position patients and perform diagnostic imaging procedures in compliance with department and legal requirements. Obtain proper content forms signatures.
• Responsible for assisting with Medication Administration and discharging patients.
