I am organized, dependable, hard working and passionate about data quality. I enjoy my current role but I would like to be "hands on" with the data and more involved in process change and research that results in improvement in patient care and outcomes.
I am responsible for STS-ACS Data Quality at a number of facilities across the United States. This involves the implementation of abstraction services at on-boarding hospitals, development of abstraction guides, training of personnel, abstraction quality review as well as data cleaning and submission. I also participate in various task forces to improve accuracy, efficiency and workflow management. I have 9 years of experience in this field.
Prior to Q-centrix, I worked at the University of Kentucky as an STS-ACS and General Thoracic Data specialist. I have also held a number of research positions in cancer, neurology and diagnostic product development in both corporate environments and in clinical practice. I have clinical trial experience and I have worked closely with clinicians and researchers to provide quality research data. I have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and enjoy new challenges.
