My wife and I started a pastry business beginning with the Farmer's Market in Spirit Lake, Iowa. After the development of regular clients and increased demand, we officially obtained a license to launch Four de Marie in January 2025. At this time, we have valid food producer licenses in Minnesota (where we obtained our first commercial kitchen) and just across the border in Iowa where we currently live and work. I took the food safety course in Iowa to obtain certification of safe food handling and procedures for our license.
