Baker

Rails A Cafe at the Depot
Kerrville, TX
01.2017 - 01.2021

Working at the bakery was my first job, I was 14 and loved baking. I saw a cupcake sign while my father and I were going home and I insisted he take me in. I asked if they needed help and the rest was history.

I did part time after school and on weekends. A typical day would include one other employee and myself. I was considered the lead baker when I was scheduled, while my coworker was my partner and helped me where it was needed. After approximately a year of working here, my employers' added cleaning an attached bed and breakfast to my schedule while I ran the bakery as well. The last year of employment here I was a senior in high school, interning at the local veterinary clinic, running the bakery, cleaning the bed and breakfast, filling and completing DoorDash orders, along with assisting catering events when I was requested. Once I graduated high school I decided to pursue veterinary medicine full time.

  • Oversaw quality control processes, ensuring consistency in baked goods presentation and taste.
  • Collaborated with team members to complete large orders for special events, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
