Design Development Management

• Prequalifying / preparing RFP’s for sub-consultants (Maldives AOR, Acoustics, Lighting) and assisting the Client in the consultants’ selection (Landscape, MEP, Pools & water feature, Artwork, EIA, Marine, Kitchen, FLS, SPA..)
• Managing the design process and approvals using commercial, contractual, pro- gram/time awareness and technical expertise.
• by leading a team of 35 professionals through the design development process and building systems including scheduling, architectural / ID design, and tender documentation (All conforming to quality assurance)
• Chairing the weekly and monthly design progress meeting and reporting to the

Board.

Design Implementation, Project Management & Site Supervision

• Supporting the Contractor in identifying problems in addition to weighing and optimizing solutions while avoiding delays on the project schedule with respect to the milestones and envisaged cost set in the Baseline Program.
• Preparing packages for the procurement team, reviewing contractor’s design and construction schedules, ensuring timely commencement of construction activities.
• Preparing periodic Client/Operator site visit reports, and elaboration respective action plan.
• Leading for the preparation of site daily and monthly progress reports (i.e. Ap- approval of materials and shop drawings in compliance with the contract require- ment).
• Managing the QA/QC of the works executed in tight coordination with the site supervision team
• Providing technical review for all the contractor’s submittals.
• Conducting factory inspection visit and advising on compliance with the contract requirement.

• Leading on design efforts exerted by a team of 17 throughout pre-concept design and concept design stages with a direct reporting to the higher management
• Managing the data sourcing process in line with the design requirement, due coordination with clients, client representative, local authorities, operator and all other parties to the project in line with the design requirement and specification
• Addressed design challenges and evaluated alternative design models to meet project requirements.
• Supported engineering design development through analysis and simulation of prototypes and 3D computer models.

• Supervising work teams to ensure compliance with latest regulations, STRATA and fire safety (NFPA 5000) for statutory authority’s submission (TECOM & Civil defense)
• Coordinating with the consultants, suppliers, stakeholders & hotels operators.
• Participating in LEED coordination meetings, regularly updating management and implementing required architectural credits
