Work History

Hypersonics Laboratory

Research Lab Assistant
09.2023 - Current

Job overview

  • Collaborative design with graduate research team to analyze acetone at low pressures and low temperatures flowing at mach 3 through a converging diverging nozzle using Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF)
  • Assisting graduate students in operating wind tunnel control system, and aligning the pulse burst laser and optical components for the Mach 7.2 Ludwieg Tube
  • Develop customized components in SolidWorks for experiments that utilize a 6-way vacuum chamber, such as designing attachable high pressure tubes for the blanks that hold the nozzle in place
  • Fabricating diaphragms using mill in on campus machine shop for varying burst pressures up to 400 psi during wind tunnel operations.
