I come from a family that is dedicated to healthcare. My mother, father, and two of my sisters are LVNs, and I have two younger brothers who are RNs. Nursing is my passion and I have been caring for people since I was quite young. I cared for my grandmother in the last decade of her life, and growing up with my family in healthcare, it has truly inspired me to dedicate myself to this field. Working as a CNA I was able to get an idea of what it is to work in the medical field and I love it. I hope to help people who are not at optimal health get back to functioning to the best of their abilities and having the highest quality of life that they can have.
•Assisted patients with ADLs including feeding, changing, getting dressed, bathing, and bed baths.
•Supervised and assisted patient transfers from bed to chair, chair to bed, and used a hoyer lift when necessary.
•Emptied urine pouches, bed pans, urinals, bedside commodes, and colostomy bags.
•Took vitals, blood pressure, pain rating, oxygen saturation, respirations, and heart rate and provided correct and timely documentation.
