Tex-Ann's we do volunteering hours like in November we went to the Dia de los Muertos festival and helped clean up the chairs and help clean up the altar of pictures of people's family members. I also go to my old dance studio called On Point Dance Co. and help my dance teacher in some dances. I also show the girls how to do tricks. Dancer

Tex-Ann
04.2025 - 05.2027

Since I was 4 I've found my love for dance. I started off in ballet I suddenly quite not to long after, not because I wanted to but because my nana passed away. She was a big part of me being in dance. After years of not dancing I finally got the confidence to join dance again. I went to this one studio here in San Angelo but it wasn't for me. I knew I could do much better. Going into my 6th grade year my mom put me into Angelo Express Athletics which for my first year there I only did competitive hiphop because I was still getting used to the big competitions. After my first year there I decided that I wanted to do competitive Hiphop and competitive cheerleading. That was a big change for me since I only did dance but I really loved doing both. That year 2022 my hiphop team went to All Star Worlds. We placed 2nd place out of 20 teams competing. After my 8th grade year I decided it was my time to quit and try other things like Tex-Ann's. My sophomore year i tried out for Tex-Ann's and it was a big change from dancing completive hiphop to kicking and dancing on a field but i have improved so much from being in Tex-Ann's.

Band Member

Central High School Mighty Bobcat Band
07.2023 - 05.2027

When I was a little girl age 4, my older brother joined the Might Bobcat Band as a trumpet player. I was at every practice and at every performance. I saw how much fun he and his friends had in the band. I even got to see my brother light up very time he stepped foot on to the field. That same year in 2014 my brother and the Mighty Bobcat Band attended State with their show Machu Picchu. I attended that day and watching my older brother made me realize how much I wanted to be in band also. Later that year in 2015 my brother was diagnosed with Leukemia which prevented him from doing what he loved to do most, but he got to do the 2015-2016 marching show. The program was the Wizard of Oz. He had to quit later that year. After my brother left high school at only the age of 19, my brother passed away on November 9th 2018. It really affected me in many ways. When it was my time to pick my instrument for band I already knew I wanted to play the trumpet. Not for me but for my brother Logan and that's why I continue to do what he loved most. Because I know every show I perform, every competition we do I always know in my heart that I do it for him. Now that I'm going into my senior year and having one last year to do what he loved most, I want to make the best of my last year with this amazing band.
