I am currently attending Fullerton Community College and am planning to graduate in 2028. My grades are very important to me as I pursue my dream of becoming a doctor in veterinary medicine.
I am an alumni Future Farmers of America member. The FFA organization has provided me with many opportunities and has allowed me to better understand the importance of responsibility in and out of the work place. In 2022 I was given my Greenhand Degree, in 2023 my FFA Chapter Degree, and in 2024 my California State Degree. These are earned through dedication and meeting specific criteria which only 3% of members achieve. I raised boar goats for the Orange County fair from 2023-2025 earning 4 goat research plaque, 12 1st place banners, 5 second place banners, and placing 2nd in showmanship at the OC Fair with my goats 3 years in a row. I also raised a steer in the 2024-25 season earning 1 research plaque, 4 2nd place banners, a 1st place banner, and placing 3rd overall in market at the OC fair. My school had also went to the 2023-2024 FFA Opening and Closing Speech Competition where I spoke to the judges and represented my FFA troop as a Reporter, Vice President, and Sentinel. In FFA I have earned 12 ribbons for recordkeeping. I have earned 6 Blue Ribbon for my ranch work at various locations and 6 Gold Ribbon for my Market Goat Research, all over the course of 3 years. Lastly, for FFA I have earned my tractor safety and certification on 12/13/2023 as well as my Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) on 6/23/2023, 6/23/2024, and 6/23/2025.
I am also an alumni member of the Thespian Society. This society supports the preforming arts throughout schools everywhere. I volunteered my time to the preforming arts by ushering, captaining my high school improv team for 2 years, and being involved in 5 main stage productions at my high school. The thespian society shows dedication and in 2022, 2023, and 2024 I was awarded with the an Honored Thespian title.
Tara's Chance is a program working with kid's with disabilities and special needs through therapeutic riding. I volunteer my time in the morning to clean up the facility, filling water buckets, feeding, and mucking out therapy horse stalls for the program. I ensure that all walkways, paths, and aisles are clear of any objects or cleaning materials that may present a problem for the program students or staff. I have also assisted in replacing stall panels and filling in ruts after the rain.
I started at Target as a fulfillment expert in September and learned the job quickly withing 4 days of on floor training in 4 hour shifts. After my training period was completed I began to pick up all available shifts on the app, come in when called about an open shift, extended shifts whenever their was an opportunity, and helped other new team members while they were being trained. I strive to keep the fulfillment team on pace and make sure everyone is hitting their goals. I work with efficiency and strategy to ensure all products are handled with care and placed in the appropriate drive-up-pick-up locations or packaged properly to be received by the correct guest. I have been trained in general merchandise as well as display set up for the target store as I requested when my department was not busy. Through the holidays I was able to assist and direct other team members in order to keep up with increased online orders. Stayed updated on inbound trucks arrival times and container details to be as accurate as possible with guest needs. On the floor I pull online orders on a time limit while also assisting the general public with any questions or concerns they may have.
I dedicate a lot of my time to managing and maintaining happy and healthy conditions on the ranch at all times for visitors, other volunteers, riders, veterinarians, and a variety of animals on the ranch, most importantly the horses. My responsibilities include making sure all water buckets are filled, stalls are clean, horses have access to hay and feed, gates are closed and locked, tack and saddles are organized and accessible, as well as paying close attention to horses that are in need of timely medication or are being rehabilitated for a second chance. I follow the feeding schedules of horses with specific needs or special diets and help the ranch owner by assisting and instructing riding lessons to the general public who would like to get more involved.
During my time here I was responsible for a multitude of tasks and helped set up for many different events. I was responsible for helping clean out stalls, fill water buckets, and feed horses as well as exercise them three to four times a week. I dedicated hours of my time to brushing off, washing, and saddling up horses for myself as well as others. When I was not directly helping with the horses the owners of Rising Ash Ranch would hold horse camps for kids to come and learn the responsibilities of taking care of different animals. Teaching kids about how to make and meet specific needs of a horse through their food was one of many ways I assisted other people in the work space. I always volunteered to take any extra tasks I could find to allow the day to move smoothly.
