As a Starbucks barista I have learned crucial parts of good customer service along with learning how to stay cool and calm under the stress and pressure brought on by the workplace. Starbucks has been an amazing experience and has taught me so much, such as the impact that an act of kindness can have on someone’s day. Hard work and dedication to my job and to making others happy has become a passion since I began working at Starbucks. I know this experience has changed how I view work forever.

While I was working as a shift lead at McDonalds, I was expected to write floor plans, do interviews, and direct upwards of 20+ people on the floor. Additional tasks included counting inventory as well as opening and closing the store. I was also expected to count our tills and deposit the money at a local bank. As managers we were responsible for ensuring that more difficult and complicated issues with customers were solved in a direct and respectful manner. It was our top priority that they felt satisfied with their experiences.

I have worked as a Cashier and presenter at McDonald's and learned to prepare food and handle money in stressful situations as well as being trained to problem solve with customers.

As a member of the Burrito Brigade team I prepared food in a commercial kitchen, then distributed it to 400+ community members in need.

I provided prompt and courteous customer service while preparing food and beverage orders following policies and standards.
