Jaden Miller

I am a responsible, hardworking sophomore enrolled in the 3DE program at HIllsborough High School, where I have been able to balance strong academics, extra curricular activities, and continuous learning. Through the 3DE program, volunteering, being a gymnast, cheerleader and teacher assistant, I have gained valuable skills such as effective collaboration, teamwork, fact-finding, critical and analytical thinking, time management, and effective written and verbal skills.

Temple Terrace Gymnastics:

I have done Competitive gymnastics for 7 years. I currently am a X-cel platinum gymnast who practices through Monday-Friday for 3 hours a day. Through the many years of this sport I have learned many life skills such as time management,determination, discipline,consistency, dedication and teamwork.

Delta Gems Program:

I have been a participant in the Delta Gems program for the last 2 years. The program is conducted by The Tampa Metro Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and offers assist int he personal and professional development of young women as it helps with development of leadership, as well as college and career planning for a successful future. We have our own leadership team within the group, participate in seminars and workshops, and participate in community service. .

STEM Education Program:

I have been participating with the STEM Education program for the last 2 years. The STEM program is conducted by Gamma Theta Omega, Incorporated and provides opportunities for minority students to learn about STEM and the various STEM careers available for career. In this program I have participated in summer STEM sessions, where I attended workshops where I completed various projects, such as building a bridge out popsicle sticks, an electric current project, attempted to program a basic robot. The program opened my whole world to STEM.

Stetson Youth Civic Engagement Program:

The Stetson Law program was a virtual one week summer program that lasted one week. During that week we engaged in workshops with Stetson law students and faculty on various areas such as, civic engagement, social justice, personal and community advocacy, and youth leadership. We also heard from and received advice from professionals on their career journey and lessons learned. One of my favorite parts of the program was when were able to meet in person on the last day and took a tour of the Stetson Law School Campus.
