Building Partnerships

Creating Curriculum

• Partnered with colleagues to co-construct curriculum, incorporating children's developmental growth, needs and emergent interests.
• Fortified an inclusive environment prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging through reflective practice, classroom design, materials and documentation.
• Created strong written documentation to showcase the children's learning which was visible to all stakeholders through various medium.
• Incorporated my passion for gardening to develop curriculum which supported empathy and learning in children for natural world.

Project Management

• Designed and facilitated virtual groups for PreK and preschoolers for the GCC virtual learning programming Creating things from Nature during COVID 19.
• Co -facilitated a 7-week Foundation of Leadership training.
• Initiated and designed outdoor and indoor interactive learning spaces and events.
• Partnered with key stakeholders including managers, educators, and curriculum specialists to develop community garden-collaborative effort to create aesthetic learning space for the community.
• Lead STEM workshops for 15 Googlers and 25-30 clients. Lead New Found Material committee, Third Thursday community event for 20 Googlers and 45 clients.
• Organized and collaborated closely with Mission College Professor Shu-Chen to translate a children's social story about Covid-19 in the Hindi language.
• Facilitated Book Club meetings for DEI and anti-racism development with 10 Gogglers, as well as planning and communicating.
