Production hose assembler technician involved many things consisting of-

• Building & distributing hose kits (Hydraulic, air, water, electrical, hydrogen hoses etc etc..), ranging from 1/4 size hoses to 2 inch (inside diameter)
• Cutting, Measuring, Packaging, Thoroughly cleaning hydraulic hoses, attaching fittings, to be used from semi trucks, to airplanes to big factory machinery etc etc..
• To adapting from hydraulic hose building to communicating with customers(good communication skills), shipping and receiving, operating forklift machinery safely.
• Being knowledgeable of tape measure readings(good mathematical skills), Critical quality control, operating heavy equipment cutting machines, heat machines, computer skills, delivery service to factories.
• Maintaining safe environment via cleaning oil from hoses, hydraulic hose dust, snipping sharp wires off edge of hoses, through cleaning around sharp blades, crimp machine consisting of 3,000 to up 6 ton psi, being aware of tiny metal dust shards.
• Critical time management skills, and attentive eye as it is very critical when being a hose assembler technician. For safety of customers, coworkers, and distributors who operate on hoses assemblers built.

Working for the state as a Washington state employee for Washington State Department Of Agriculture (WSDA) consisted of-

• Driving to hops warehouses, factories & farms. Located in 509 areas involving Sunnyside, Wapato, Yakima, Toppenish.

Skills on job consisted of-

• Good critical communication skills speaking to distributors, hops holders acquiring sum of bale hop count, shipping and receiving intel. Having basic computer skills using state computer to put in hops information involving basic math, lot Number, bale count, dealer name, grower number and name. Requiring good reading skills to do so.

Activities and actions involved -

• Driving from the warehouse to (WSDA) chemical lab, for key laboratory hop analysis. Collecting /Taking samples from hop bales, sharp knife in a safety awareness manner due to commotion of heavy trucks, semi trucks and forklifts passing by.
• Maneuver 200 pound bales, vehicles, forklifts, heavy equipment trucks.
• Label samples, complete worksheets of lots, tallies of samples. Pushing core samples into core sample box. (filled hops)
• Physical endurance to do repetitively motions working in fast environment and endurance to handle temp changes ranging from hot (outside) to cold (coolers) on daily bases. With the work schedule consisting of standing 8-10+ hours, Monday-Sunday or on call.(seasonal)

A Production Pellet worker day to day activities involved -

• Lifting and moving 20-60+ pound boxes. Making & distributing boxes. Moving 100+ pound boxes on conveyor. Lifting Pallets consisting of wood.
• Filling up 150-300+ pound cartons consisting of pellets and powder reaching 1,200+ pounds of pellets and powder in bag. Ability work with high safety. awareness. Ability to measure foil to fill boxes neatly.

Daily actions -

• Involving bending, climbing ladders, twisting, leaning and standing for 8+ hours.
• Breaking up pellets in big crush machine, involving use of shovels and sticks to prevent jamming. Repetitively swinging down motions for 3 - 8 hours.
• Usage of sharp objects, to cut boxes, foil, bags and break up pellets to put into a machine. In a safe manner. Minimum 40 hours a week with opportunities of overtime with a schedule of Monday-Friday. (Seasonal due to seniority)
