Network Design & Simulation Project

• Designed and implemented a multi-campus network infrastructure simulating real-world environments across Burlington, VT; Montreal, Canada; and Dublin, Ireland—incorporating VLAN segmentation for students, faculty, administrators, and residential zones using multilayer switches and routers.
• Deployed VLAN segmentation and multilayer switching to isolate traffic between student, faculty, and administrative networks, while configuring dynamic routing protocols (OSPF and BGP) to establish secure internal and external connectivity across distributed campus environments—utilizing OSPF area segmentation, BGP interconnection, route redistribution, default routing, and neighbor announcements.
• Utilized Cisco IOS within GNS3 and VMware environments to simulate enterprise-grade networking, including switch trunking, IP addressing, VLAN trunk/access modes, and intranet testing—while developing hands-on expertise with network troubleshooting and topology scaling.
