I delivered comprehensive support and hospice care to a client in the advanced stages of dementia. My responsibilities included assisting with daily living activities such as feeding, dressing, bathing, and medication management. Furthermore, I maintained a clean and safe environment for my client.

I seated and dismissed patients, maintained the cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms, prepared and sterilized instruments, and diligently updated patient charts, adhering to all PHI regulations. Additionally, I assisted the doctor in preparing for treatments and routine procedures, as well as supporting some billing processes.

As a Direct Support Professional I provided comprehensive and individualized care to clients of varying ages and disabilities. Duties included assistance with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, toileting), mobility (Hoyer lift, commode), and medical needs (catheter drainage, colostomy bag care, diaper changes). For some clients, responsibilities included supervision, meal preparation, and engaging in activities to promote well-being. Also offered emotional support and light housekeeping, ensuring quality comfortable clean environments to help those individuals live their lives to the fullest potential.

Managed patient check-in and check-out, answered phones, scheduled appointments, utilized electronic medical record (EMR) system, filed protected health information (PHI), scanned documents, verified insurance, and prepared patient charts.
