  • In this role I sit on the trading floor providing dedicated level 2 support for 175 Foreign Exchange, Emerging Markets, Fixed Income Management, FX Prime Brokerage, FXEM Strategy, and a group of 10 mid-town BCP Commodities traders, ensuring fast and effective fixes to all sales, trading and management desktops.
  • In addition, am also back-up to my colleague who supports Govt. & Swaps, MBS Pass-through, Interest Rates Sales, Interest Rates Options, Agencies, Interest Rates Strategy and Bank Resource Mgmt.
  • The bank's OS platform is primarily Windows 7, currently in the process of migrating to Windows 10, and in the process of migrating from Office 2010 to Office 365.
  • -Consult with other technology teams such as network engineering, voice, cabling, hardware, packaging, developers and other in-house support teams, including 3rd party vendors.
  • This fast-dynamic working environment involves working under immense pressure and demands a high level of technical expertise to all sales and trader needs.
  • Learned the importance of building relationships withing the work environment.
  • -Troubleshoot Excel spreadsheets designed by traders and make sure they get the appropriate market data feeds, and add-ins are correctly functioning.
  • These spreadsheets are extremely important to traders since they read off prices and quotes to clients.
  • -Responsible for testing and reviewing new proprietary applications handed down by ASG team and ensuring that there are no errors.
  • Consult with ASG team and developers when errors are encountered and possible solutions.
  • -Contributed to Foreign Exchange and Emerging Markets IT troubleshooting knowledge base for in house build applications, automated various task scripts for Power Downs (using PowerShell).
  • -PC hardware/software service support, upgrades, Metrics, user account password changes and responsible for the evaluation, testing and recommendation of new hardware and software for the BU.
  • -In charge of onboarding new hires and summer analysts.
  • -Responsible for maintaining all Trading PC's for Foreign Exchange, Commodities and Emerging Markets Sales and Trading Desks and perform upgrades and preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Build and install desktops\laptops\monitors\printers.
  • -Install, Configure and Rollout new in-house trading applications or vendor-based trading applications.
  • -Investigate and communicate with various vendors like Bloomberg, ICAP EBS, Reuters (Dealing and 3000xtra), FXALL, Global Link, FXConnect, ESpeed on application connectivity outages on sales and trading desk and escalate appropriately.
  • -Assist Application Support Team with trade application logs, trade counter party, trade number information and dollar amount, PC Metrics, configuring new trade applications into environment.
  • -Managed Off-hours Support Team of 8 Techs, which included 2nd level technical escalation point for Support Technicians, Support Scheduling and Outage Escalations.
