Responsible for building various rocket engines and sub-assembly hardware for multiple types of rockets from Blue Origin, ULA, Boeing, NASA. Currently in a Lead role which duties include: dispersing job duties of the team, tracking hardware coming in and out of combustion department, communications with mechanical engineers to facilitate process changes and work instructions for our team, communicating with supervisors and managers on process needs and concerns with engine builds. Also helped incorporate 5s strategy for our area which included: shadow boards for tooling and cleanup equipment, delegated roles to teammates on a specific area they were responsible for on a weekly basis, organized a layout for work centers to provide the most efficient work area for our department. In charge of updating work that was completed and work that needs attention from engineering to get materials fixed. Also spearheaded training to new employees and teaching them how to build engines and improving the processes of the builds. Also am dedicated overhead crane operator for my shift. Gel-sight certified for materials that need to have scratches and dings identified for depths of damage.
