With 14 years of hands-on experience in the mining industry, I've built a career grounded in resilience, continuous learning, and a deep commitment to safety and team development. My journey has shaped me into a leader who thrives on empowering others guiding new mechanics, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture where safety and performance go hand in hand. I take pride in my unwavering work ethic and ability to solve problems creatively, especially when resources are limited. With a strong background in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, I've consistently diagnosed complex systems under pressure, often with limited technical data. Now serving as a Maintenance Trainer, I'm dedicated to equipping the next generation of technicians with the skills and safety mindset needed to succeed in today's demanding mining environments.

I was hired on originally out of college in the component rebuild shop.
my daily duties were cleaning parts and sweeping up shop.
I then started with rebuilding hydraulic cylinders and moved on the enclosed air conditioning units. As time went on I moved to axles and transmissions and helping the field technicians in the field when the shop was slow.
I Attended various machine specific training classes
As a Field Technician I traveled around the U.S and worked on all sorts of equipment Sandvik had to offer.
I had the opportunity to completely tear down a Supra 100 ton haul truck at the Henderson mine in Colorado and shaft it underground and reassemble it.
Another opportunity I had was work on the road header project at Barrick Meikle mine. We sold them a MR620 and I was a big part making it a success with the assembly of the machine.
I did some technical training on road headers I spent 2 weeks in Price, UT working at the Skyline Coal Mine working on a MR360.
