I was out of work from 2007 until 2019 in order to care for/homeschool my son, who has mild autism. As he has gotten older he no longer needs me as much so I rejoined the work force. Although I have several years of experience in retail management, I only wish to begin again as a part time employee, working my way up from the bottom so to speak. I have a willingness to learn and welcome all constructive criticism as I do so. I am easy to get along with and have a strong work ethic...I take all tasks that I am presented with seriously and pay close attention to detail so that the job is done thoroughly and properly the first time. I have my own vehicle and an open schedule of availability. I am authorized to work in the US for any employer.
My job as a U.S. Rater was a part time work from home position. Duties included analyzing search engine and website quality for various clients of Telus International, which is a digital/AI-based company located nationally in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I began work as a sales lead in the juniors department at Kohl's on October 4th of 2022. My starting pay was $13 an hour. I averaged 20-25 hours a week regularly, and 35-40 hours a week during the holiday season. My job responsibilities included, but in the end were definitely not limited to:
I was no longer happy with the work environment and therefore left my position in December of 2023. My final payrate was $13.30 an hour.
I began work with Chico's as a part time keyholder and moved up to ASM in the Fall of 2021. My duties as an assistant manager included:
I left Chico's on January 9th of 2022 after an extended period of being short staffed, which made it difficult for me to juggle my job and responsibilities at home. (My mother lives with me and is partially homebound. She was very sick at that time and ended up hospitalized.) My starting pay was $12.50 and I left at $15 an hour.
As a part time assistant manager for Cato, I undertook almost every responsibility that was also delegated to full time management. These tasks included, but were not limited to, opening and closing the store, helping to train new hires, handling all customer transactions, taking part in inventory and truck deliveries, processing weekly freight and markdowns, cleaning, executing planograms, etc. Unfortunately the pay was very low considering what was expected for the position that I was working.
I began employment with Cato on March 22, 2019 as a part time associate earning $8.20 an hour and ended on December 30th, 2019 at the same pay rate but doing the job of a full time manager. I was also not eligible for any health benefits, PTO, or vacation time regardless of sometimes working over 30 hours a week and also open-close shifts.
The unrealistic demand and expectations became too much for what I was earning, therefore I left the company in December of 2019.
Even though I was a much better fit as an ASM, I also served as acting store manager for several months during my employment with Hallmark. Tasks that I performed as an assistant manager and acting SM included:
I left my position in late 2007 in order to stay at home with my new baby.
Tasks that I performed as assistant manager:
I left this position shortly before the store/company closed.
