DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Outreach intervention for students on CW, AW, and AP. (Spring 2024)

• Serve as a coach and accountability liaison for the Academic Coaching program
• Effectively built and launched the new “Academic Champion” program in the Office of Advising, which matches faculty and staff volunteers with students on credit or academic warnings after their first semester.
• Build and utilize Navigate knowledge of survey campaigns and appointment campaigns.

Return to Complete Degree Committee (ongoing)

• If a student is readmitted, I am assigned to help students with registering for classes if needed.
• Serve as Academic Coach when needed.
• Get familiar with the transfer articulation database and practice advising transfer students. Offer availability for academic support through Navigate and be available for drop-in support

Academic Letter Appeal Coach (Jan 2024)

• Assist in coaching students through the Pending Dismissal and Appeal process.
• Build resources to be used during future appeal meetings and follow-ups.

Review, correct and process Academic Reports

• Following an academic standard run-through report for fall 2023 through banner, errors were found in student standings. We as a team, meticulously reviewed and corrected discrepancies found to ensure proper progress for each student.

In Addition

• Assist students with registration, add/drop, finding classes that meet degree and gen ed requirements, assist students in understanding degree works, exploring majors, and working with struggling students.

I serve as a writing instructor for the AOP department in their EOP program. In this role, I teach an introductory writing seminar that helps to bridge what our students have learned in high school with what they will have to be able to do when they take courses at Geneseo.

Assist students who have struggled academically and help them stay on track, by...

• Assist in finding strategies that help them achieve a positive Academic outcome.
• Help develop time management skills.
• Help them locate on campus and off campus academic resources.
• Serve as an accountability partner when needed.

Courses: Introduction to Theatre, Play Analysis, Theatre History I & II.

• Help students retain class materials with engaging, learning-focused activities.
• Shift between formal and informal methods of teaching to keep students engaged.
• Regularly ask for student input that aids in future course development and instructional approach.
