In my role as a caregiver/nurse assistant, my days were fueled by a genuine love for taking care of people.

• Provided physical support to assist patients with bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assisted patients with shaving, bathing and oral hygiene to promote healthy habits and overall wellness.
• Recorded patient conditions and vital signs before and after medical operations.
• Supported daily living activities by serving meals, feeding, ambulating and turning over and positioning patients.
• Performed light cleaning duties by emptying wastebaskets, sweeping, mopping and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assisted with administering medications under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Provided basic patient care by bathing and grooming patients, changing bedding, and assisting in feeding activities.
• Used clinical skills to conduct lab draws, assess vital signs, complete glucose evaluations, and treat pre-and post-operation patients.
• Played games with patients to boost mood, improve memory and provide light entertainment.
• Provided emotional support for family members during difficult times in the hospital setting.
• Changed bed linens, cleaned patient rooms and assisted with transfers of patients in wheelchairs or beds as needed.
• Assisted nurses with wound care for pressure ulcers, bed sores and surgical site wounds.
