Jake Griswold

My 1st feature film is a fantasy comedy featuring an ensemble cast of over 30 speaking roles. I started writing it in 2011. It contains 3 stories shot with 3 different types of camera (analog & digital). Principal photography began in July 2024. The film premiered at The Capitol Theater in Dec. 2025 to an enthusiastic audience of over 300 people. I am currently seeking distribution and applying for film festival screenings.

I curated and hosted weekly double features of obscure world cinema at venues around Cleveland such as Negative Space, The Bela Dubby, The Happy Dog, Mahall's, Dunlaps and my own DIY venue The Innerspace. I've hosted hundreds of double features in Cleveland, Oberlin and Mexico City. I selected films that I believe had artistic merit but hadn't received the critical acclaim or large audiences they deserve. I presented the films and screened them from my own collection with my projector, speakers and screen.

I hosted a weekly 2 hour freeform radio show on 89.3FM for nearly 20 years. I played music and conducted interviews with authors and filmmakers such as Kier La Janisse ("House Of Psychotic Women"), Michael Weldon ("The Psychotronic Encyclopedia Of Film"), and Damon Packard (director, "Reflections Of Evil"). As music director, I spoke weekly with record labels and acquired new music for the station, reported weekly charts to CMJ, and organized and maintained the music library.
