- Key responsibilities as a Lead Field Engineer include:
- Structural framing, drywall, waterproofing, underground waterproofing membrane, siding, concrete, asphalt, curb and gutter, underground utilities surveying, layout, setting grade, calculating cut/fill measurements.
- Communicating with Trade Partners by scheduling Field Walks and ensuring everyone understands the sequence of work involving the 4-week schedule.
- Scheduling 3rd party inspections for structural and concrete testing
- Recording underground utility as-builts with the GPS as well as locating Utilities prior to excavation activities.
- Developing Dig Permits and reviewing safety hazards underground and in the surrounding area.
- Ensuring all work installed is correct and true to the Contract Documents by performing follow up inspections.
- Safety: Toolbox Talks with craft, assisting with job-wide safety meetings, Logging safe/unsafe activities
- Ensuring Material Delivered is of quality and accurate to the shop drawings.
- Managing the safety of the Public by performing site safety audits and maintaining SWPPP inspection records.
- RFI management: Tracking, logging and distributing changes to trade partners
- Leading punchlist distribution and management of open/closed punch list items.
