Throughout school, I was in the band program's percussion section. I was in concert percussion in middle school and marching percussion in high school. I've played various percussion instruments, including keyboards, drum sets, and sound effects instruments. In High School, I took up the bass guitar in my own time and formed a band I remain in today. While I am classically taught in general music and advanced percussion, I taught myself the bass guitar with help from friends and the music theory class I was taking. In my senior year, my percussion director Jose Marin put me on Synth 1 for marching season, where I learned how to play the piano and use various music computer programs and hardware.
