Work History

Security Forces

United States Air Force
Riverside
07.2020 - Current
  • I provide exceptional security and protection for personnel and assets, stateside and overseas. I train new recruits in security procedures and regulations while also developing strong communication skills while interacting with diverse groups. I am currently with a Contingency Response Unit as a Reservist, who's mission is to deploy rapidly, establish air mobility operations in locations without established infrastructure, and support both combat and humanitarian missions.

Alarm Monitor

U.S. Air Force Security Forces
Okinawa
05.2023 - 08.2024
  • My critical duty position was safeguarding Air Force resources and personnel through electronic security systems. This role is often performed in the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) or an installation control center. My responsibilities were continuously watching multiple Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) feeds. Immediately dispatching patrols to investigate alarms or suspicious activity and maintaining constant radio communication with patrol units, flight chiefs, and BDOC controllers. Essentially, the Alarm Monitor is the eyes and ears of the installation’s electronic security network.
  • Alarm Monitors typically work with:
  • IDS/ESS (Intrusion Detection/Electronic Security Systems)
  • CCTV networks
  • Access control systems

Counter-UAS Response Coordinator

U.S. Air Force Security Forces
Okinawa
05.2023 - 08.2024
  • Job duties include but not limited to detecting, tracking, and reporting unauthorized or suspicious drone or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) activity near or over an Air Force installation, and to coordinate an appropriate defensive response. Evaluate the drone’s flight path, altitude, and proximity to restricted or controlled areas. Immediately notifying the Flight Chief, Base Defense Operations Center Controller, and installation command post.
  • An Alarm Monitor in a C-UAS role may use:
  • C-UAS sensor systems (Dedrone, Anduril, DroneShield, or similar)
  • Radar and RF detection displays
  • NINJA System
  • CCTV and optical tracking systems
  • Secure radios and command-and-control networks
  • Digital mapping software to track flight paths and restricted zones
