Jallah Barbu

Recently graduated high school, pursuing a degree at Indiana University in Computer science and a minor in African American and African Diaspora. I've worked three jobs, two long term volunteer jobs, and one internship that taught collaboration, dedication and execution. I have been a part of smaller short term volunteering jobs in my community. I have taken courses in html web design, and plan to learn python.

I have a great interesting in music and learning how to play musical instruments. I also play a lot of sports and have a deep knowledge and ability in most that I have tried. I love being around sports and a competitive environment that inspires progress and improvement. I was born and raised in West Africa and but I only know the culture and the environment. The history and unspoken aspects such as wars and coups are not often taught in the American schools which has prevented me from gaining knowledge on where I come from and I hope to change that. Similarly I love to learn new languages. I have taken Swahili, French, and American sign language, and I strive for improvement and proficiency.
