Work History

Tutor

Achievement Learning Center
Larchmont
09.2024 - Current
  • Assisted students with STEM subjects, clarifying complex concepts and theories.
  • Developed personalized lesson plans to cater to individual student learning styles.
  • Facilitated engaging study sessions, promoting collaboration among students.

Lab Assistant

City College of New York
New York City
11.2022 - 05.2023
  • Collaborated as a lab assistant on a team of five to solve oil starvation issues during the maneuvering of a Formula vehicle.
  • Deconstructed an oil engine pump to determine the oil volume pumped per engine, and per rotation.
  • Applied gear reduction principles to calculate the oil pump rates at 52% of crankshaft RPM.
  • Modeled collaboratively with custom oil pan ideas using SolidWorks.
  • Generated a BOM for the dry sump system using the 2020 Formula SAE standardized costing system.
  • Collected oil pressure data via a custom apparatus subjected to a series of tests that simulated competition maneuvers to validate that the system was functioning correctly before installation on the engine.

Projects

Autonomous Robot                                                                                                      January 2022 - April  2022

  • Designed and developed a physical type prototype equipped with motors, an ultrasonic sensor, a gyro sensor, and a color sensor for obstacle detection and path corrections to replicate practical applications such as a Roomba vacuum.
  • Assembled a virtual 3d model by drafting all parts to the same scale using CAD programs such as Solidworks and mating them with appropriate geometric constraints to generate an exact replica of the physical prototype for presentation purposes.
  • Developed a feedback loop to understand the sequence of events that were required for path correction and obstacle detection with data gathered from the gym, ultrasonic, and sensors.
  • Coded using C++ with the cppirobot extension in Visual Studio using proportional derivative control to move the robot forward and backward using the gyro sensor.

Armored Vehicle Tire Mold                                                                                          January 2023 - June 2023

  • Collaborated with the New York Hall of Science to design and manufacture a compression mold die capable of capable of casting of military strength for a German museum as part of their restoration project for the task.
  • Prepared technical and written documentation such as drawings for all mechanical components of die assembly with GD&T, developed progress reports to document project progress , and performed engineering calculations to take into account during initial concept design.
  • Administered Microsoft Project Management to prepare a GANTT chart schedule to assist in organizing and scheduling project activities such as assignments and arranging meetings to coordinate requirements with engineering
  • Generated bill of materials for budget estimation, and to ensure that all materials and services are provided to trusted vendors and suppliers to satisfy shareholder requirements.
  • Tested the virtual die mold in Solidworks using analytical engineering techniques such as thermal and state analysis by adjusting variables such as convection co-coefficients and Young's module to study temperature distributions , stress distributions, and displacement plots for design/verification.
