Visit company sites to validate security officers are in uniform and performing post orders as outlined by the client and the company.

While visiting sites I conduct training to ensure officers can perform outlined duties and share job advancement opportunities goals and give them support to reach those goals.

• Responded quickly to incidents and assessed active situations for security concerns.
• Underwent and maintained firearms certification in compliance with state laws and organizational standards.
• Performed hourly patrols of building areas, parking lots and facility grounds.
• Enforced company policies and procedures consistently across various sites while maintaining professionalism at all times.

• At Target I am responsible for one retail location for all shrink and safety programs.
• I worked closely with the store and district teams to maintain a safe environment for all team members while working with my staff of 3 AP team members to resolves shrink issues that included shoplifting, internal cases, and multi-store boosters along with implementing prevention methods that included merchandise protection, theft identification counts, and team member awareness training.
• I have been at two locations for Target and have reduced shrink at both locations year over year and reduced safety incidents both internal and external.

• While at Home Depot I have had various job titles due to company reorganization in the Asset Protection Department.
• I started as an Asset Protection Manager where I shared a district of 10 stores with another APM and reported to the District Operations Manager.
• I was responsible for managing the hourly AP staff in my five stores.
• I investigated all internal cases in my stores and was responsible for shrink mitigation and the annual inventory process.
• I made sure all of my stores knew where they were shrinking and I helped them find the root cause to create game plans to help mitigate future shrink.
• I was promoted to a new position of District Investigator where I had one APM and 7 hourly asset protection specialist that reported to me.
• I reported to the Regional Operations Manager.
• I was responsible for all 10 stores in the district.
• After my first year I was number one in shrink performance, number one in internal and external performance, and number one in safety performance in the gulf region (10 districts & 100 stores).

• I was responsible for all thirty nine retail locations across the nation along with a Distribution Center in the Dallas market.
• I worked closely with District Managers and Store Management to resolve shrink issues in the stores.
• I also provided direction and guidance for the daily operation of the loss prevention department.
• I had a staff of 9 employees at the corporate office that include 3 investigators and 5 analysts and one distribution center coordinator.
• I conducted internal investigations and interviews, monitored employee activities via POS systems and CCTV, and installed covert equipment to assist in monitoring activity.
• I have conducted live and phone interviews of employees and vendors involved in internal investigations and worked cases all the way through prosecution or restitution.
• I have conducted criminal background checks on all perspective associates, maintained payroll and expense budgets for LP in all stores and corporate.
• I develop shrink programs to help reduce shrink.
• I traveled to all store locations and conducted LP and safety audits.
• I coordinated contract security for store locations and the distribution center along with any special events that was scheduled.
• I maintained strong communication with law enforcement agencies in all of our markets.

• I was responsible for 25 retail locations in Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
• I would make site visits to ensure all LP associates both hourly and salary were performing their specific routines and meeting their minimum standards.
• I closely monitored inventory results and made action plans for stores that came back with high shrink numbers.
• I closed out many internal cases and followed up with prosecution if applicable.
• I was responsible for the entire security budget for the company which included guard service, off duty police, and all camera and alarm contracts.
• I regularly met with law enforcement and other retail loss prevention executives to create partnerships to ensure the success of resolution of cases.
• I was on several ORC committees that actually met with local and state legislatures to help strengthen laws around ORC crimes.
