Jamel Hamilton Wade

As a Second Year Student Success Coach at City Year New York, I am dedicated to improving the academic and socio-emotional skills of students in English language arts. I provide one-on-one tutoring and guidance, as well as support for study skills, time management techniques, and academic strategies. I also track student progress, communicate with parents and teachers, and create personalized learning plans to address individual student needs. In addition to my role as an ELA tutor, I have experience as a Math Tutor and a Cultural Coordinator at City Year New York. I worked with a caseload of ten 4th grade students to improve their math skills, and led inclusive community bonding initiatives for a team of nine. I am passionate about education and community service, and I am always looking for ways to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
