  • During this time I was the Administrative Specialist/ Template Coordinator and lead person over the call center for UNC Dermatology. My main job duties is to build and maintain schedules for 24 doctors at 3 locations for Dermatology. I build the providers templates for all locations and set the number of patients per sessions and time frames for each session when needed. I edit templates for any given situation and monitor all templates for visit types that need to be added. I set time off for providers, meetings and conferences and I make sure that number of patients for each doctor and for each day is correct for the number of Residents provided to them. I also work 6 months ahead setting up templates and I work directly with our Dermatology Chairperson to ensure correct clinic schedules are in for all our providers. I also am the lead person for our call center providing support for questions and correct scheduling. I also keep up with time off request from call center and pass information on to my direct Supervisor. I work close with Management and Supervisor to give ideas and solutions to any issues that may arise.

  • On June of 2012 I took the position of Administrative Associate at the Dermatology location at Southern Village. My job duties were to check in and out patients, verify insurance, make sure all forms were completed for patients and that they were ready to see their doctor for their appointment. I also had side duties assigned each day to be covered and copying and faxing of forms.

  • I went to work for UNC Healthcare as a Patient Equipment Technician and the job consisted of the delivery of equipment to patients rooms, emergency room, ICU, burn center and Surgery areas. We were also assigned different areas of the hospital to pick up equipment for cleaning and repairs and also if stat equipment was needed for that given area. I also work to repair beds on the weekend and assisted in the delivery of specialty beds when needed.

  • I started work at Townsend as a general labor person with responsibilities of work shipping and loading trucks. After a couple of years i moved to the job of Quality Assurance Technician and the job responsibilities were to make sure that all USDA policies were being followed and that test were performed on an hour basis to ensure a high quality product was ready to ship. I stayed in this position for around 4 years and then I was promoted to assistant supervisor over shipping where my job duties were to make correct products were being loaded on all trucks and all incoming product and supplies were correct and stored. After 3 years preforming this job I as promoted to Supervisor over 3 different areas with a total of 34 employees and 3 lead people. My job as Supervisor was to make sure that everyday production was met and that all orders were produced and all safety and quality check were completed. I handled interviewing of new employees and training assignments for lead personnel and that vacation time request and daily time cards were checked. I also made sure that each of my 3 areas were staying in budget and that we were meeting orders in an timely manner. On April, 24th 2009 I was let go after almost 25 years of service due to a company restructuring plan.
