I was a trumpet player in a world-class drum and bugle corps of approximately 150 members. I was required to memorize and perform complex musical selections, march with expert precision, follow detailed and comprehensive instructions then lead by example for younger members, travel all over the upper eastern seaboard and the deep south, and routinely work sixteen hour days - seven days a This position required a great amount of physical and mental discipline and an exceptionally high level of personal fitness.

I was a member of the youth group for seven years. In that time, I went on hunger walks to support the underprivileged, gleaned vegetables for several years to help feed the hungry, volunteered at addiction recovery centers, packed food and collected non-perishables for the local food pantry for seven years, and helped lead worship with my fellow youth group members.
