During my time at GE, I worked as a technician responsible for building and assembling compressors for skid packages. As a part of my job, I was also responsible for receiving the necessary parts and arranging them accordingly. I performed plastigage tests to ensure proper fitment and torque, wire-tied every bolt and nut, and set balance for the eccentric gear. Once the compressor was balanced, I would run it out on a test rig with a variety of RPMs to ensure its proper functioning.
At my previous job, I worked on various heavy equipment including drawworks, swivels, blowout preventers, and mud pumps. I also did field work and occasionally repaired the metal shredding machine at the scrap yard.
"I successfully managed the mechanic floor, receiving equipment and assigning tasks. I took charge of leading most teardowns of complex equipment, such as mud pumps, draw works, rotary tables, and many more. Additionally, I sourced quotes from various vendors for parts and bearings needed for full repairs. I was also on call for field work.
