Volunteer on a regular basis for any training that is available and love the challenge of learning new things. I also take great pride in teaching students in the welding program where I am an instructor.   • Dismantle, inspect, repair, and replace defective plant equipment including pumps (vertical and horizontal), valves, gearboxes, fans, conveyors (screw, belt, and elevator), piping (steam, hydraulic, pneumatic, gas, and other liquids), and compressors

Accomplishments

The Emerging Leaders Program was a great opportunity I was selected to participate in. I was able to sit in on PW level and FEC (facilities engineering command) level meetings. I also conducted interviews on the PW and FEC level including the Public Works Business Line Director. My mentor was PWO Commander Turner of Naval Air and Weapons Station China Lake. The program included a lot of professional training including classes in DAU (Defense Acquisition University), ESAMS, and other training seminars.
