James Caruthers

Have worked here for a while now and am looking to move up to operator I currently got my class b license from here. I operate pretty much every truck we and have like tractors, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, trash trucks, dump trucks with plows and regular pickup trucks.

Installing pipe, installing sewage line and tanks, operating excavators, bulldozers and skid steers.

Started as a basic laborer got the opportunity to move up to a shift supervisor loading trucks. Enjoyed the job but wasn’t getting enough hours so I decided to find something new. Ended up getting a job at NDOT after.

My first main job in high school I started in 9th grade loading and unloading trucks. Worked here till my junior year where I got a opportunity to work at ups for more money.

Did hardwood flooring with my uncle, was one of my first job experiences especially working in extreme heat. I loved it and definitely learned a lot.
