In my role, I supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Utilities Operators and Mechanics to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all HVAC, mechanical, and life safety systems. I’m responsible for scheduling maintenance, assigning tasks, and overseeing the use of our computerized maintenance management system. I also monitor the performance of critical equipment like chillers, boilers, pumps, and building automation systems to ensure everything runs smoothly and meets safety standards.

I lead performance evaluations, support employee development, and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes. My work requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to work independently while following safety procedures.

Physically, the job can be demanding—I frequently lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined or challenging environments, sometimes exposed to extreme temperatures, noise, or chemicals. Despite these challenges, I take pride in maintaining critical systems that keep our facilities running safely and effectively.

In my role, I performed routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs on building mechanical systems, including HVAC equipment, pumps, valves, and air handling units. I was responsible for starting up and shutting down major equipment such as chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. I also handled minor plumbing tasks and general building upkeep. I applied strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently. I'm experienced with building automation systems and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
