Estimating, Sales & PM
MJR Theatres - We would receive a report of damages that occurred every weekend. This would need to be completed for the Thursday evening Shows. I set the schedule, made sure the materials were on-site when needed and of course was the main contact to the MJR liaison. MJR had about 12 Metro Detroit Complex's with 4 to 16 screens. I usually had a minimum or 4 Union Carpenters working Monday Mornings thru Thursday afternoon (M-W were usually an 8 hour day per Man) we started earlier & cleaned up by showtime. We fixed damaged drywall, ACT, Toilet Stalls & even the storefront glass in Southgate when at about 4AM a guy with a truck backed thru the storefront, tied a chain around the ATM & took off) the chain broke before he could get out of the lot. We also did renovations of the Restrooms, Refreshment stand and some office work that could be completed without disrupting the customers. I oversaw the work (updated by my lead carpenter) & made sure MJR was happy, assigned labor or subs, managed Billing to our Accounting Department.
GM Powertrain - Pontiac. We had the Maintenance Contract for the entire property. We completed Concrete Curbs, Ashpalt, Striping, installed & repaired loading docks, built some of the concrete, steel & foundations for new Assembly Line equipment. We renovated Offices, in the Main building and many other projects.
Bank of America - ADA Upgrades 45 Metro Detroit Locations, 6 Metro Grand Rapids Locations. Contracted thru Clune of Chicago. Work involved removal of side walk & some asphalt in order to install an ADA Compliant Ramp & Re-stripe. About 25% of the branches we needed to lower the end Teller space per ADA. I oversaw the work, assigned labor or subs, managed Billing to our Accounting Department.
DTW - Detroit Metropolitan Airport - We started off with a contract for the exterior of the Airport. We did all repairs to the exterior and then was added to the interior of the Airport Common space. From their I sold some of the separate Airlines. This is a very long story so I will be happy to answer any specific questions you have. One of my references KJ Rice was the Southwest Airlines Director of Ramp & Ops, he also was on the Board of the Wayne County Airport Authority. He is now retired but said he would be happy to take any calls. On top of any repairs we did, I ended up selling a handful of Airlines plus we built several restaurants. We worked on Hangars, Ticket Counters, Freight Storage Facilities.
DTW - We also signed several other Airlines such as JetBlue, Delta, Lufthansa & Spirit. We would do any necessary repairs, renovations or bid jobs.
Detroit Public Safety HQ - Was the original MGM Grand Temporary Casino. Once the City got it back finished the basic demo & renovations, we did most of the repair work for DPSHQ. This included maintenance, repairs & some build outs.
Cobo Hall - We had a contract for building maintenance and a regular crew there. We also built and/or installed many Laminate ramps & displays for the yearly Auto Show.
Providence Hospital - Southfield, Providence Hospital - Novi, St. Mary Mercy Hospital - Livonia, Select Specialty Hospital - Macomb. We had T&M Contracts at each of the Hospitals & some of their Satellite's continuously from 3 Months in Livonia, 6 Months in Macomb & 2 years at the Providence Locations. I am a Certified FireStop Construction Professional for STI & Hilti.
I was Storm Water Certified when I was building an addition to WalMart Distribution Center in Washington Courthouse, OH.
I was the estimator & PM for the complete Renovation of the Southfield Westin, many Marriott Townplace Suites in the greater Chicagoland Area & 2 Hilton properties in Ohio.
