Notable Projects

  • EH&S for work related to the closure of ash ponds at power plants for Southern Company. Work included the hauling of fly ash to disposal facilities.
  • EH&S Manager for North Dakota Region. Work included oil and gas pad construction and maintenance. Responsible for implementing the safety for approximately 275 employees
  • Site Safety and Health Officer for work related to the construction of a highway bypass in Williston, North Dakota. In this role, I was responsible for oversight and inspection of safety and health elements of construction activities that included replacement of the existing 2-lane U.S. Highway 85 Truck Reliever Route with a 4-lane concrete paved divided highway, installation of new highway lighting, and construction of a retaining wall.
  • Site Safety and Health Officer for the Chicago Underflow Plan (CUP) McCook Reservoir Rockwall Stabilization project being constructed under the management of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). In this role, I was responsible for oversight and inspection of safety and health elements of construction activities that included site preparation, installation of stationing signage, rock slope scaling (including removal of loose and unsound rock on exposed near-vertical walls up to 300 feet in height, drilling and installation of rock dowels, drilling of drain holes into rock, installation of structural rock support mesh, and shotcreting. I also provided inspection assistance to USACE personnel for hands-on access to the quarry walls utilizing recognized rope access protocols.
  • Site Safety and Health Officer for work related to the repair of existing training area roads at Fort Benning, Georgia. In this role, I was responsible for oversight and inspection of safety and health elements of construction activities that included repair of approximately 25 miles of gravel tank trails, approximately 3 miles of asphalt roads, pavement marking, clearing and grubbing, installation of erosion control measures, seeding and sodding, and installation of a storm water management system.
  • Site Safety and Health Officer for US Army Corp of engineer project that involved construction of a sand drainage blanket through marsh wetlands to provide a structural drainage base for a new 7 mile levee system. I was responsible for oversight and inspection of safety and health elements of construction activities that included clearing and grubbing of approximately 100 acres of marsh wetlands, installation and maintenance of over 100,000 linear feet of silt fence for erosion control, placement of over 900 tons of rip/rap for construction of haul roads, placement of over 900,000 cubic yards of drainage blanket sand, and installation of over 1,000,000 square yards of geotextile separator.
