  • Supervised a Pinkerton security detail on a 700,000 square foot research facility called Burrows Wellcome in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This site had over 520 employees and several hundred offices, labs and storage spaces. This site had secure laboratories that were actively engaged in the development of AIDs vaccines, animal testing, and multiple other medicines available in the market today.
  • Started as a Security Officer and worked my way up to 1st Shift Supervisor. I supervised 15 Security officers in fixed and mobile locations thru out the facility. I trained new officers on the 15 different designed security routes, and conducted inspections of each post and route daily. The site was monitored by electronic video surveillance, walking patrol, vehicle patrol.
  • Access control was handled in four different locations, 2 front desks and 2 loading dock locations. Communications were conducted with two way radios.

  • Detention and Special Housing Unit (SHU) officer maintained control of protective custody inmates, and inmates that were being punished for infractions within the prison. These inmates could be housed for days to years in the SHU.
