  • Interpret engineer drawings, technical procedures, specifications, Mil-Specs, specific quality standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents to adequately validate incoming supplier material and contractual documents.
  • Communicate inspection outcomes to Material Validation Engineers (MVE), Program Specialists, Supplier Quality Engineers, Suppliers, and Management.
  • Enter hardware and documentation defects into the Quality Notification (QN) system (PRISM).

  • Responsible for leading a diverse team of individuals of approximately 10-35 employees in a fast-paced/mass production manufacturing environment using positive reinforcement and respect for all persons, while fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion for all.
  • Responsible for facilitating daily manufacturing objectives such as preventative maintenance, building team member's daily process rotation schedules, categorizing the root cause of quality issues identified by team members, and relaying that information back to other manufacturing workshops to help ensure that the Final Customer receives a high-quality product at the least operational cost possible.
  • Responsible for conducting daily audits to ensure all team members are following standardized work and safety guidelines established by Management and the Safety Department.
  • Responsible for leading continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, cut costs, minimize downtime, and reduce process waste that allows employees to only perform value-added work within their process.
  • Support 5S, kaizen activities, and use certain manufacturing concepts such as Toyota Production System (TPS) and Lean Six Sigma concepts to improve cycle time, quality, productivity, and cut costs.

  • Assisted with the Quality Inspection Department’s first-ever major model change from a standard gas engine to a hybrid engine at Toyota’s manufacturing plant in San Antonio, TX. During this time, I worked at Toyota’s Prototype & Development (TPD) plant in Michigan.
  • While working at Toyota’s Prototype & Development plant in Michigan, my responsibilities included building and testing the first-ever 300 hybrid Tundra vehicles to understand how the new model change points and required inspection processes would impact my assigned area. Developed 14 new inspection processes and trained all certified team members on the new inspection process. Created a PowerPoint presentation that was used to train the entire Quality Department on hybrid vehicle safety, and worked with the Quality Engineering Department on implementing standardized work. I also initiated a process improvement using Excel saving over 11 hours of process time.
  • Handled scheduling, data tracking and other administrative functions for the quality team.
  • Responsible for reporting to Upper-Management on various operational accomplishments, targets, and goals using data visualizations and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Tackled employee conflicts immediately so that issues did not fester but were instead resolved and to make sure work schedules remained unaffected.
