Summary
I started canvassing for WPR and PBS Wisconsin in 2021 and enjoyed the work. Talking with new people everyday, whether they donate or not, about social issues and making a positive impact was incredibly rewarding. After about a year I decided to try working for other non profits and branched out to causes that I cared about. The Planned Parenthood campaign gave me an opportunity to further develop my canvassing skills. Being and Americore volunteer team leader was a rewarding new experience and informed my professional development as far as training and patience goes. After the Planned Parenthood campaign ended I was offered an assistant director position for Donor Development Strategies and left Habitat for Humanity to give that office more attention.
