My position requires me to over-see all rig operations. Including but not limited to, crew safety, preventative maintenance, maintaining high morale, reporting all incidents and near misses regardless of the severity. To maintain all safety equipment, well control equipment and to ensure all personnel maintain proper training and proper certification for their job title. Utilize best drilling practices and maintain a safe, clean work place for all employees onboard. To operate within designated budget and to cut cost when and where feasible. I always strive to maintain a zero incident workplace and minimize or eliminate downtime by planning, budgeting and maintaining a high level of competent employees.
My duties as an Assistant Rig Manager was to assist the OIM in all daily operations. To maintain a zero accident workplace and to work side by side with all Operators and service companies to get the very best end result as possible. I maintain, inspect, service and ensure all safety equipment is updated and fit for service. Also, ensure that all drilling equipment, all lifting gear equipment and all relevant inspections are carried out to company standards.
