Accomplishments

Led the lobbying effort to successfully reopen the Philly Shipyard .... first American shipyard to go out of business and be reopened in its original footprint without alteration to its mission to build Jones Act ships and vessels. Saving the yard has created a model that will employ 1800 highly skilled, good paying, generational jobs in the city of Philadelphia.


Led successful legal effort to protect workers from radioactive waste contained in the tank farms located at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Richland, Washington. The radioactive legacy of Hanford lives on but the cleanup now evolves without putting the workforce at unnecessary and risk.


Collaborated with private industry and the department of defense in creating the first public / private partnership enacted to rebuild and supply parts for United States Navy submarines (Bartlett Maritime Plan)
