Effective at writing reports and affidavits, interviewing witnesses and gaining informants by applying persuasive communication skills and understanding of the law. Proven investigator with a self-motivated and flexible style.
In my current position, I oversee 1-2 Basic Patrol Officers on shift, while also maintaining the evidence and property room for a 12-man agency, and conducting criminal investigations. My passion in law enforcement has always been helping my coworkers flourish inside of our profession, and make sure that our body of work as a unit is beyond reproach. With investigations, my current primary responsibility is overseeing the establishment of our agency's affiliation with the GBI GA ICAC Task Force. Sex crimes and ICAC Investigations would be my preferred specialization, but I am open to other avenues as well. Being a general investigator, I have a well-rounded skill set, have basic knowledge of and have conducted most types of criminal investigations. In my off time, I manage the stress of police work by getting outdoors, playing disc golf, and spending as much time with my wife and two kids as I can. My family is relocating to Upstate, SC from Georgia, and I am looking forward to a change in scenery. I understand that moving from Georgia to South Carolina will involve a change in the way things are done and require an EoT to move my certification, but commit myself to learning each and every day to be a valuable member of your team and let my body of work speak for itself.
