Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for reviewing my application and resume. I appreciate your time and effort.
To begin, I must admit that most people would not consider an upcoming sophomore in high school the best applicant for a position involving significant responsibility. However, I would like to think that I am not your typical sophomore. I am one of the oldest students in my class, and will be turning 16 on the first of July. I believe my age and personal experiences give me significantly more maturity than most. Another point that I believe makes me an unusual applicant for my age is that I have been working since seventh grade. I have had experience with hard labor and a work schedule for more than two years, and most of my piers would not be able to say the same.
However, I know that just this information alone is not enough to convince an exceptional employer. So,
My job requirements for this position have been the removal of recycling and trash cans, along with large cardboard containers. However, through these tasks, I have connected with the senior community through conversations and interactions. I have been able to help seniors with small jobs, and also provide companionship to some isolated members of our senior community.
As the founder and creator of a non-profit organization, I gained many valuable skills, but these are the ones I think are the most important.
