I offer a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn new skills and work diligently in any environment. Through earning my Eagle Scout rank, I have developed excellent communication and teamwork skills. Because of my past jobs requiring me to be the first person customers see, I have developed great customer service skills.
At Cutalong, we are required to give the best services possible to the members as it is a mostly private golf course. I am responsible for checking tee sheets to get an idea on how many carts will need to be washed and staged. With the carts being a dark grey we make sure to dry them after we wash them to clear up any water spots as they air dry. I am also responsible for checking the coolers on the course and making sure they are filled with water and ice and the trash bags are not full. When members arrive I bring a cart to their car and load up their clubs and make a small conversation with them to ensure they have the best experience. When members come back from their round I meet them back at their car to unload their clubs and put them back into their car. I am also responsible for picking the driving range and making sure the crates are filled with balls.
I was responsible for picking golf balls at the driving range and making sure the hitting area was clean. I was also responsible for cleaning golf carts and bringing them to the front of the pro shop for golfers to use. At night I was responsible for cleaning the bathrooms and collecting all the trash around the cart barn and clubhouse and taking it to the dumpster along with going out to bring in all the flag sticks from the course. When we got a new hire I was one of the few cart guys responsible for training the new guys and making sure they learned the ropes fast. In any free time I would assist the pro shop attendants or cart girls in the cafe with whatever they may have needed help with.
In 10th grade I earned my Eagle Scout badge.
